Play learn and have fun together

National Game Playing Week

23rd – 30th October 2009

Whether you’re looking for fun at school or at home,
why not get involved in a week dedicated to having fun playing board games?

Game Playing Day

The week kicks off with Game Playing Day, which takes place in primary schools across the country on Friday, 23rd October. This year once again, schools choose their OWN charity to benefit from their Game Playing Day fund. It can be the school itself or any charity of your choice.

Free board games and €200 county prize

Every school that participates in Game Playing Day will receive a hamper of six FREE MB and Parker board games from Hasbro. What’s more, there’s a further €200 from Hasbro towards their Game Playing Day fund for the school in each county that shows it had the most fun playing board games!

To find out all about it, click on Game Playing Day and to register, click on Register.

Congratulations to all the schools that participated in Game Playing Day 2008.

The judges were overwhelmed with the responses from schools all over the country and delighted to see that so many of you had so much fun playing board games on the day! To check out the winning schools for 2008, click on Game Playing Day.

Thank You

National Game Playing Week is now in its seventh year and has helped to raise over €500,000 for children’s charities. A big thank you to all the schools that support this initiative every year.

Family Game Night

Parents, you too can bring home the fun by hosting your own Family Game Night during the week! For ideas and tips to make your family game night an event to remember, click on Family Game Night.
